Second Life

My experience with second life was very interesting to say the least. I also found it to be a bit creepy because everything seemed so real, minus the whole flying thing. I didn’t get a chance to change the appearance of my girl so I was walking around with a black beanie on and a white tank top, I kind of felt like a robber or a homeless person. When I first got onto second life I was not sure how to work it because unlike facebook, myspace or any other social network there were no set out instructions on what to do to get started. The first thing I did when I got on was try to find Professor Bock at the PSU main campus and just doing that was confusing at first. After I found Professor Bock on the campus, I then tried to walk around and fly. I started to use the gestures by waving hey and shrugging. I didn’t walk around and explore as much as I would have liked to because I didn’t have much time, but next time I hope to get on there and explore on second life more and get use to walking around normally and hopefully change my clothes. I also plan to change my clothes so I can look more like myself and not a robber.

I chose this picture of my friend Kylie and I because Kylie has been a big part of my life, we have been through alot together. We were really good friends through high school until we went away to different colleges. I went to a college for two years that was five hours away until this past year when I transferred to Kutzotown. Now we are close again and remain good friends.
